Group Support

More support is needed!

My heart is to help churches and families in Hawai’i—and beyond—better understand the impact of sexual betrayal and addiction, while helping women connect with the support they need.

No woman should have to navigate betrayal alone. By increasing awareness and helping churches build safe, informed support, we can make it easier for women to find help when they need it.

From Surviving … to Freedom

I enjoy speaking at women's conferences, retreats, support groups, and church women's ministries about the impact of sexual betrayal and the journey toward healing, wisdom, and hope.

Speaking topics include:

• Understanding the Impact of Sexual Betrayal

• How to Guard What You Can—and Trust God With the Rest

• Breaking Free From Destructive Patterns After Sexual Betrayal

• What Forgiveness and Healing Really Look Like

• Finding Hope in the Midst of Pain

There is something powerful about hearing another woman put words to what you've been experiencing but may have struggled to explain. Betrayal can be incredibly isolating, and many women carry their pain quietly for far too long.

My hope when I speak is that women feel understood and less alone, while also leaving with practical encouragement, greater understanding of what they're experiencing, and renewed hope for the road ahead.

At this time, I do not charge a set fee. I ask that any travel or related expenses be covered, along with a gift or honorarium that your church or organization feels led to give.

If you're interested in inviting me to speak at your church, conference, retreat, or women's gathering, please reach out through my Contact page.

Helping Churches Build Strong Support Ministries

I would love to help churches across the Big Island develop strong, safe ministries for those impacted by betrayal and sexual addiction. I am available to consult with churches interested in starting or strengthening support groups for women, and can also offer some guidance as churches consider support and recovery options for men.

I offer this consultation at no charge, other than travel expenses when applicable. After more than 16 years of facilitating Betrayal & Beyond groups and walking alongside women impacted by sexual betrayal, I've seen both how deeply this kind of support is needed and how important it is for churches to be prepared to offer it well.

Too often, individuals and couples struggle for years with sexual addiction and betrayal in their marriages without knowing where to turn. These are difficult things to talk about, and finding people who understand—as well as a safe place to be honest—can be challenging. Well-led groups can provide a safe place to begin talking and meaningful connection with others who understand the journey. As secrecy and shame begin to lose their hold, there is greater opportunity for honesty, healing, growth, and accountability.

There is a lot to consider when developing this kind of ministry. Emotional safety, confidentiality, appropriate boundaries, trained facilitators, and the understanding and support of church leadership all matter. I can help you think through these considerations, coach leaders and facilitators, and avoid some of the problems that can unintentionally make an already painful situation more difficult.

My hope is to help churches create ministries where women and men can find biblical truth, meaningful support, healthy accountability, and people who understand what they are walking through.
